Following 10 years in private practice specializing in Clinical, Health and Neuropsychology, Dr. Gibson became an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. As both a clinical health and neuropsychologist, he was the primary supervisor to the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology while also conducting neuropsychological evaluations and research in neuropsychology. In 2012, he commissioned with the United States Government, serving in National Security (Central Intelligence) as a forensic neuropsychologist and later, as an intelligence instructor.  MedPsych of Virginia, LLC was founded in 2013 in order to continue providing forensic, medical and neuropsychological consultation as well as psychological assessment and patient care in multiple settings. In 2020, MedPsych of Virginia, LLC grew into MedPsych Consulting, LLC when Dr. Gibson relocated to Florida to become a professor at Nova Southeastern University where he taught neuropsychology, advanced neuropsychology and other doctoral level courses. Dr. Gibson was also a supervisor in the program’s neuropsychology concentration. He retired from the Central Intelligence Agency in 2021.

MedPsych Consulting, LLC presently provides expert consultation, including expert testimony in Virginia as well as all 36 PSYPACT states. Dr. Gibson has been admitted as an expert in medical and neuropsychology in numerous states and jurisdictions, including Federal Court. Dr. Gibson has provided consultation to thousands of cases for over 29 years both clinically and forensically, with expertise in civil, criminal and worker’s compensation matters. He presently provides clinical services as well as disability evaluations to our veterans. Clinically, he sees patients for neuropsychological evaluations and treatment, particularly as it relates to PTSD and chronic medical conditions.
